Heavy quality sandwich!!  Friendly, inviting, almost underground, cool and interesting pasted environment.

    Video games.

    Lots of parking.

    Friendly young ladies.

I'm not gonna sit here and lie to you. The sandwiches are amazing, which is probably the only thing that saves this place. The customer service is lost among the staff. Especially with a woman with black hair and a "13" tattoo behind her ear. Every time I come in, doesn't matter how many weeks or months, even years go by, she is always so nasty to me! And she doesn't even know me personally which really gets me. You don't know me, so you better be giving me the same customer service you're giving everybody else. I've watched her treat people ahead of me well, then I come up, and she turns to "clean" or whatever to make me stand there and wait. Then comes back with a "what?"

This place has unfortunately gotten too big so it's always packed now. The manager just sits at a table on his phone while the line goes out the door. Instead of jumping in to help. He plays on his phone. I went one more time praying my "friend" wasn't there cause she alone makes the experience just cringe worthy. Unfortunately she was, but I stayed cause again, the sandwiches are good and decently priced. The line already was huge. No big deal, I came during a lunch rush. When I finally got up to the front, I had to wait for another ten minutes while the two girls behind the counter chatted and once again "cleaned" and wandered into the back. I ordered my sandwich to go like I always do, and then sat down and waited. I figured the wait was gonna be a minute so I played on my phone. It came quicker than I thought, and my "friend" slammed it on the counter and pushed it to the edge going "you on your phone!" In her oh so friendly tone. Like excuse me! I got up and just said "Jesus okay!" Grabbed my sandwich and left. I'm sick of her attitude and I'm sick of her tone.

I'm curious, do you guys like allowing your customers to feel personally attacked? All I want is a sandwich, not to be basically bullied by a bitter employee. This hasn't been a one time thing either. She has a major attitude problem that needs correcting. If your sandwiches weren't so good, I can't imagine you would have many customers who would put up with her nasty vibes.

Hey, my young daughter was craving a sandwich and demanded we go here for one, being I'm in my mid 50's and have an issue with carbs, I love them, we stopped in for a sandwich.
This quaint walk up to order counter was a peach from the start, the three ladies running the counter from ordering to making the bundles of joy, run a tight ship! So let me say they mean business and business is what they got, they don't have time for those ear phone hugging hacks that don't value your time or space, when you order your grinder, sub, etc have your sh** together!
I ordered a combo meat and my daughter ordered the turkey sub and a side Mac and cheese (carb burning lil machine) both sandwiches were delivered with military precision and with that "here you go eat and make room for the next client" not rudely just saying  "we would appreciate you enjoying your meal, however we ain't got a lot of room for dawdlers, be respectful and move on when your finished"
Now the sandwiches were prepared perfectly and filled to the max and flavorful beyond delight, the Mac and cheese wasn't my style, but remember Mac and cheese is like a personal thing, some like it one way others like it differently, my daughter (carb burning machine) loved it.
Best sandwich I've had in a long time, so get your non-dawdling butts there and have a joy of goodness !

    January 18, 2019 Friday - 5:15 PM for dinner
    1 Adult

    Atmosphere - 4 stars
    Food - 4 stars
    Service - 5 stars

Background - Found Huntsman Tavern earlier online and decided to go there, and needed somewhere near for dinner.  Could not be any closer.

Atmosphere - Small and very old school sub shop.  None of that fast food walk the line making your sub type place.  A few tables inside the place with the feel of the place has been here for decades.

    Food
Dinner - The menu board is up high on the wall behind the register.  I read to number six, I was done.  I love Capocollo and that is all I needed to know.  Then you need to make a bread select; white, wheat, or sourdough.  I took sourdough.  I was pleased with my sub, but I could have used more meat.

Service - Super friendly and fast.

    Future - Yes.

We have had Yellow Submarine in our bookmarks for a while. We wish we had come here sooner. I would say we are not generally sandwich people and do not frequent Subway, Quiznos, etc. but we both enjoy a good sandwich from time to time.

The interior is very eclectic with many different things. We spotted various items from The Beatles, Seinfeld, The Office, various signs, plants etc. Let's just say there is ALOT to look at!!

I ordered the number 1, ham and swiss sandwich, which he told me I could also order it hot, which I did. My wife ordered the club sandwich and he was helpful showing us what the sandwiches came with and then we could make adjustments as needed. All the sandwiches come in 6 or 12 inches and the breads were wheat, white or sourdough.

We were given our drinks and chips and had a seat. Our sandwiches arrived quickly and looked delicious - they were packed with lots of ingredients (lots of shredded lettuce and veggies) and tasted really good! Both my wife and I commented that they were very tasty and that we need to come back.

We both really enjoyed our meals and the employees were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!!!  Next time we also want to try their soups.
